The Nurse provides healthcare support to patients. This role involves conducting patient assessments, delivering medical guidance, triaging symptoms, and educating patients on health management. The Nurse collaborates with a remote healthcare team to offer safe, effective, and accessible care, ensuring patients receive timely assistance and resources.
- Triage and Patient Assessment
- Triage clients based on the urgency of their medical needs.
- Perform basic medical examinations and accurately communicate findings to the healthcare team.
- Nursing Procedures
- Competently perform nursing procedures such as wound care, injections, and sample collection.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc.).
- Documentation and Data Management
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress.
- Ensure the secure and organized storage of patient data following regulatory standards.
- Patient Education and Counselling
- Provide health education and counselling to patients and patient groups, tailored to specific medical conditions.
- Conduct public health education campaigns for the general public through telehealth platforms.
- Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
- Virtually relay patients to the DOC or other relevant healthcare providers.
- Diagnostic Testing and Equipment Maintenance
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with vendors and suppliers for IT equipment, software, and services.
- Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs) and timely delivery.
- Coordinate procurement processes, negotiate pricing and contracts to ensure cost efficiency.
- Track warranties, licenses, and support contracts to ensure timely renewals or replacements.
- Medical Protocol Adherence
- Adhere to medical protocols, regulations, and ethical standards in nursing practices.
- Follow telehealth-specific protocols for remote care delivery.
- Any other responsibilities assigned to the job holder by the Line Manager from time to time.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license from the relevant medical board or authority
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in primary care, emergency care, or outpatient settings
