Billing Officer

JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and complete billing of patient services in accordance with Imara Hospital’s defined policies, procedures, standards, and strategies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate smooth billing and invoicing processes for both cash and corporate clients.
  • Manage the pre-authorisation process in compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Handle patient admissions and discharges.
  • Prepare necessary reports and respond to billing enquiries.
  • Deliver exceptional client satisfaction by maintaining high-quality care, effective communication,  timely feedback, and escalating unresolved issues.
  • Address incoming billing queries from patients, insurance companies, consultants, and colleagues  professionally and efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Lead.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other business-related field from a recognised institution.
  • Partial accounting qualification (i.e., CPA Part II or ACCA) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of one (1) year’s experience.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
