JOB TITLE: EXECUTIVE PASTRY CHEF

As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will lead a team and inspire them to deliver high quality pastry and bakery production in line with our luxury service standards. Taking charge of the daily pastry kitchen operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise and lead all the pastry operations within the establishment.
- Develop and improve recipes, pastries, and desserts that challenge the market and emerging trends.
- Manage inventory and meet the set food cost.
- Train, review performance levels, and offer the required support to all pastry staff.
- Organise the pastry section rotas and cleaning schedules.
- Lead the HACCP and food safety requirements in your scope of work
- Review, update and or develop policies and procedures as may be required
- Interact with guests, gather feedback and handle concerns professionally
- Support the Executive Chef in delivering operational and service excellence within the department
- Support other properties in the Group as may be requested
- International exposure will be an added advantage
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 10 years cumulative work experience in Pastry & Bakery in 5-star hotels
- A minimum of 5 years experience as Head of Pastry, Pastry Chef or Pastry Sous Chef in 5-star hotels
- Demonstrable experience and skills in people leadership and staff performance management
- Demonstrable technical expertise in Pastry and Bakery, and experience in delivering outstanding products
- Diploma or Degree level qualification is Pastry & Bakery
- Excellent guest experience and problem-solving skills
- Articulate verbal and written communication skills
