Finance Officer

Responsibility Summary:

  • Prepare and submit required CBK reports in compliance with regulatory timelines and standards.
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models related to government securities, IFRS 16 lease accounting and staff loan valuation.
  • Prepare and submit stakeholder reports to the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC), Development Financial Institutions (DFI), and other external stakeholders.

Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Professional qualifications; ACCA, CPA
  • 5 years’ experience with good knowledge on bank policies and CBK prudential guidelines.
  • Thorough understanding of SAP GL, accounting policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of bank’s products and services, and IFRS.

  • Ability to manage relationships within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and resilient in fast paced environments.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
